NJ Bear Shot Caught on Video (vid)

The Bear should have been moved deep in the woods, Yes this would be the bear could be hunted but have a good chance of living a full life. Also Tagging the bear and see how it reacts to being moved, to see if it heads to humans.... If that happens then take the bear down.

Also I agree if NJ had a Bear hunt every year since the one back in the 2003, this would have happened.

I really wonder if the bear or the cops put more people in harms way the way they were running around with their weapons and then shooting in such close proximity to houses, probably using standard issue buck shot, I fully support police but sometimes even the best of them don't think.

I can't believe the way they were all running around, like a bunch of A-Holes. Youd've thought Bin Laden was holed up in one of those town homes

They should have just stated the facts: A potentially very dangerous animal got into an area where it should not have been. It posed a high risk for people in the area and it was destroyed before anything could happen. End of statement. Justification for actions declared. Everybody goes home.

I agree with this...I didn't like that they tried to cover it up b/c right there it proves they where wrong and didn't exhaust all other humain options.

Shoulda darted him and used him as research.

I think all these bafoons running around with guns drawn and cigarettes hanging from their mouths is more dangerous then this bear $hitting his pants!

Dont get me wrong I have nothing against cops...I'm a fireman/EMT and have there upmost respect for em but we all know that most of em get tunnel vision!
