Bass Pro Opening in Sayreville NJ

A good source in the construction business says that Bass Pro will be building in Sayreville on the site of an old paint factory. Supposedly to include hotel and retail as well.

Will this be another Xanadu (Cabelas) [confused]

That would be real sweet if they do !

it would be nice but nothing beets the one in springfield Mo.....was stationed out there for 2.5 years and that place is hugeeeeeee.....takes an hour just to walk the store

That would be a great location for a BP. Close to the shore, right near where the TPK and GSP come together, and probably within 90 min. or less of half the NYC Metro area.

Then again, they could probably get a helluva deal opening in the Woodbridge Mall in the old Fortunofff's. That place has been empty over 2 years.

my uncle does commercial real estate, i dont know what paint factory your talking about. the one he is aware of isn't zoned for retail as far as he is aware. maybe there is another paint factory

they were suppse to open a bass pro shop on 295 across from the woodberry exit. but its not started yet should have been built already. who knows what they doing[down]

diverrk,,my brother does engineering work for sayreville and has seen the plans.. BassP is also looking at the movie theater property. Plans included a marina as well.. We'll see what happens.

they just painted red "X" on the building all around it. i guess they are getting ready to knock it down.

I have had nothing but bad experiences with Bass Pro in Orlando. Staff knew nothing, and when I could finally find someone to talk to me, they tried to sell me a timeshare. Hopefully this one would be better.

Only Bass Pro that I have experience with is the one in Islamorada,Fl. We go every June, and I have nothing bad to say about the place...its great(it is their flagship store though,that may be why). Id love to see one close to our area....especially since that xanadu Cabelas is never going to happen.
