Anyone know of any Cabin Rentals for a weekend of Camping?

Each October I set up an annual group tent Camping trip. We have camped at Otter Lake in PA, and in Warren and Sussex counties in NJ. The group is made up of married couples, singles, and now kids.

While we have had a a lot of fun with the tents, it is time for just a touch more comfort now that the kids are involved. Not to mention, I am getting too old to be sleeping on the ground for 2 nights in a row.

Here is what I am looking for...a cabin rental (or similar situation) that can accomodate approximately 10 adults and a few kids. Cannot be at a State Campground like Stokes beause we do enjoy a few beers around the fire at night (nothing crazy). Most of us live in Central NJ, and I am hoping to keep under a 2.5 hour drive if possible. Looking for a Friday through Sunday type situation in October, and does not have to be fancy.

Anyone have any recommendations? Thanks guys/gals.

Check out martinsville streamside cottages in canadensis pa. Good spot to stay, great trout stream and a kids trout pond. Usually stay there during turkey season.

Man , i grew up camping Otter Lake, Spring Gulch, Oak Creek, and plenty of others out there. Good times

I actually have been at oak creek in the last couple of years and they were putting up a bunch of cabins. You can try them

Just about all campgrounds in central NJ have cabins now.

With this link you can click on the part of NJ you want to check out. It will open a page with campgrounds in it with their web address. That way you can check them out. Just an FYI most private campgrounds also do not allow alcohol either. They do not enforce it to much but is their way of tossing you if you get out of hand.

Check Buck horn lodge I think it's in East branch NY. I use to pass it all the time

STAY AWAY from Harmony Ridge.Facilities are run down and has large groups of campers that have no respect for families.Management is not capable of enforcing noise rules!!!!!!!!!

fyi= never been to harmony ridge except to party during hs- its about 4 miles from me just letting the man know theres a campground there haha

Tip Tam has cabins abd you can take the kids to Great Adventure for a day.

All campgrounds around 6 flags have cabins now. All but Maple Lake and no one in the right mind would ever camp there.

Riverside Cafe & Lodge has cabins right on the Beaverkill River if you like to fish. You can cook your own meals or enjoy Tanny's fine cuisine and a couple of drinks in their restaurant. Tammy was trained at Culinary Institute. 607-498-5305.
