oh no , your not going to start fly fishing are you, you ??? can I come and watch.... I will take you to a great spot come season if you want tim. small easy stream with lots of fish, great way to learn
 
In no particular order:

BWO or Adams dry tied parachute style sizes 14-24
Bead head flashback pheasant tail nymph sizes 10-18
black woolly bugger size 8 or 10
Bead head caddis pupa in bright green w/black thorax sizes 10 - 18
Scud in natural or olive sizes 12-16

But why limit yourself to just 5 when 5,000 is better [lol]

Parachute patterns are a favorite of grumpy old men (GOM's) because they can actualy SEE them! (Or atleast I heard tell)

I just started fly fishing last year, and this is what I concentrated most of my fishing on, started out with the basics, i think I did alright for my first season too, ive fallen in love with it tho, its another addicting sport
again there goes all my money lol
