After a 2 year battle with cancer I lost my closest cousin today. Only 40 years old and left a wife, 8 yr old son and my Goddaughter who just turned 13 one week ago today. His fighting has ended but the pain will go on for his closest of family.
He moved to Florida about 7 years ago and I took that pretty hard since we were so close but this is unimaginable. It will be first time going back to Florida for all the wrong reasons. Worst part is the earliest the funeral could occur is next Tuesday. I guess with older people things book up more quickly down there.
This Sunday Feb 13th will be 15 years taht I lost my Dad to Cancer, (just 1 year) before I got married. Needless to say Valentines day was never the same since most people were buying roses and its now once again time to buy funeral flowers for me.
Appreciate the ones you hold dear to your heart cause as we get older life seems only to get shorter for one reason or another. Today it just seems everywhere you turn you hear of so many people with Cancer.
