I do everything possible (within reason) to buy American made products. We live in a global economy where our government has over regulated almost every aspect of business to the point where American manufacturers can barely turn a profit (the unions also have a giant role in this).
When you wake up, in your Mexican made bed, drink your Central American grown coffee, drive to work in your Mexican assembled truck with middle eastern fuel powering it at 12mpg. You then sit in you Ikea desk with a Chinese made Dell computer ....... where does it end? I'm as concerned about this as most of you are, but I refuse to make ignorant comments about people being sell-outs. Those of you who make these idiotic statements are either uneducated, uninformed, ignorant, or simply think that yelling "BUY AMERICAN" somehow makes you patriotic. It simply exposes how oblivious you are to the world around you.

It's nearly impossible to buy anything made in America. I tried to buy Dell and HP because it's an American company, yeah, made in China. I wanted to buy an American mid-size pickup, but I didn't like anything about the Dodge, Ford, or GM midsized trucks. It really sucks that I had to buy a Tacoma, because I really wanted to shop American. I'm not going to spend my hard earned cash on an American product that is not reliable, unless of course the beneficiaries are willing to pick me up when my truck breaks. American autos need to manufacture a mid-size truck that is as reliable as the full-size trucks, then maybe folks in the mid-sized market will buy American.

Hey,Toyotas are also made here by americans and also,the dealers are americans working here.If American auto companys want our bussiness they need to better stuff to attract more buyers!!!

Keep buying american brands and your just helping to support the foreign work force that they're employing.
Buy the rice burner that's employing americans and you'll watch this country go to shit? I don't think so, in fact just the opposite. Let's not forget the German cars being built here also.
It's not the american people buying foreign brands that's the problem. It's american business execs squeezing as much profit as they can so they send it to countries with cheaper labor and the saying holds true, you get what you pay for. Corporate america needs to give working america a chance to compete by giving back the jobs that they have farmed out.
Buy american but know what you're buying, chances are it's not. I'd like to know what brand your TV is, cell phone, anything else that needs a charger or gets plugged in? American product?
Kinda like an anti that still eats meat and wears leather as they protest the hunters.

There isin't much difference in price between a Tacoma 4x2 and a Silverado 4x2. I would go with the bigger truck. my .02

If you don't plan on ever selling it, than what does that matter? I usually keep my vehicles for a long time, but that's just me.
