tore mine many years ago. By the time they got around to all the tests and a decision on what they said needed to be done, the knee was better already. I declined on the surgery and the knee has been fine ever since.
:D

speedy recovery!

Tough break, Charlie.

Procedures for "simple" tears are just that, simple. Did he say what kind of tear you had, and, it's location within the knee ? Did he say how he was going to repair it ?

Tears closer to mid-line are generally just cut out, because, they dont receive adequate blood for for healing.

Tears to the extreme outside(medial or lateral) are sometimes sutured, because, there is just enough blood flow present to support healing.

Either way, you could be walking the same day, or, non or partial weight baring for a few days, then, back to walking.

If he is just going in to repair/remove a portion of your meniscus without surgical fixation to the plateau, and, not touching the condyle or plateau, you-re good to go.

I know you're busy, bro, but give me a call when you can....

Good luck on your hunt [up]

I've been dealing with this for over a year, on and off, but the last 3-5 months it has really hurt. I'm going to Dr Oscar Reicher, Wayne NJ, he is a renowned Ortho Dr, the pain is on the inside of the left knee, I can not bend down and kneel right now, it locks up if I do. I have complete faith in him, and TYLER MARKS, you are right, 17 years on in January and AZZ sitting is part of the job sometimes.
