Went out today to a culling property where lately the does have vanished to other bordering areas making it tough hunting. Temperature was ok but the howling wind made it seem much colder. It was dead quiet the whole afternoon until 4pm when this single deer came in from behind. I spotted the deer away off and got into position for the shot. 21 yard shot entered the lung but passed out near the stomach. (I was 26 ft up too) Didn't make a difference, damage done and dropped in 30 yards. Slick tricks did a great job again. Turned out to be a large button buck but since hunting is tough here and main objective is to reduce deer I'm satisfied.
