had one go around or through last night.
i saw tracks a week ago, thought it was a red, so i set for a red.
i am now thinking it's a slightly smaller grey.

before the adjustments.
hope the after shot has a grey in it.

my location was down, but it just wasn't the right loop for the critter. this is a 6" loop 6" high. it is now a 5" loop 5" high.

if he thinks he can jump the loop, they will try.
a little tighter and they will try and barrel through it like it was a vine. normally i set in tighter brush and briars, but this is the spot it is using. you have to set on sign if it's there. no sense in setting a snare in a good looking spot, if the critter isn't running that spot. go to the animals. that is easier then making the animals come to you.

no need to bait. this fox has been using this run for two months. this is 20 yards outside my bedroom window. he's got a pattern going. he'll be back. i'll get to meet him soon.

bait does work. but for snaring you want the animal moving. you need to stay away from the bait.

i'll take it. [hihi] at least it's fur.

i got so many different set of tracks hunting bunnies behind the house, i can't tell which is the target and which is trash.
