My friend at work brings in these skinny venison slim jims and they are definitely a treat. They are about the diameter of a pencil, about 10 inches long, a bit spicy, and come in bundles of about 50.

I normally take a few deer to Dietrick's up near Cabelas for hot stix, hot dogs, etc, but I also like these stix too and was wondering who makes them.

Unfortunately, my friend will not disclose who makes them for whatever reason and I was wondering if anyone on here knows this "secret slim jim maker"

I would love to tell my friend that we dont have to trade this year cuz I got the skinny slim jims already and its my own deer meat that I supplied!

Yea Dubs, I was thinking Elys but they didnt see pics on their website of their "snack stix". I ll give them a call and ask them to describe their snack stix.

I called Elys las week to see if I can drop off 50 lbs of ground venison mixed with pork and have them make some stuff with it but they never called me back, so Hessian brought it to Dietricks.

Thanx

The kid at Elys sent me a picture message of their stix and it appears they are thicker than the mysterious skinny slim jims.

Nellos also appear to be the thicker ones, so the mystery continues about these things.

Im pretty sure they come outa Pennsy.

My friend may be getting them from some hermit type Ted Kazinsky backwoods skinny slim jim maker who emerges shortly after gun clubs fill their meat poles then creeps back into hiding.

Yea Luvmylab, I know, my friend is a lil selfish.
