i was just curious my friend is hunting up north this week and he said hes got over 90 pix of bears hitting his bait.he said hes got a big boar and a sow with three cubs.well anyway i told him to try and get that boar.he said if the sow comes in hes gna shoot her.i was a bit bothered with that being shes got cubs still.would you guy shoot the sow or just wait out for the boar
how many would harvest a sow with cubs in tow

and thats all that comes out of f&g's mouthbecause its the right thing to do in my OPINION and im allowed to have one of those. just like i dont kill fawn or yearlings. its sort of like, some like crossbows some dont. some like bow hunters some dont. some people like driving deer some dont and so on and so on

While I'd like to agree with you that they should have a limited draw archery hunt in Fall and Spring - I think you are asking for much since F&W still needs to gather more data based on the percentage take for the limited bearzones.
If it were a trophy hunt, we'd have more than 3 zones to hunt.
How so?
This is limited to reducing bear population density in three specific zones.
How are they lying?
I assume that reduction goal is between 7.5% and 10% of the population within those three zones.
But I'm basing this on the prior hunt years' totals

nothin was based on emotion bloodtrails.i apologize if this thread got out of hand i just want to know who would harvest a sow with cubs.a friend of mine went up there to bearhunt and i was offended that he would pump his chest and make a statement like that and be proud of it.IM A DEERHUNTER WHO PROBABLY HUNTED LONGER THEN YOU.i just think it was a fucked up attitude.i thought us hunters were better then that.YOU WOULDNT CATCH ME DRIVING DOWN THE PARKWAY WITH A SPOTTED FAWN OR CUB ON MY RACK THATS ALL.

Fine, if it's not emotion then tell me the LOGICAL or SCIENTIFIC reason why you shouldn't shoot a small bear or a small deer.
Again, it's perfectly acceptable to not want to kill a small or young animal but it's purely an emotional decision. Admit it.

im a trophy hunter.ive harvested atleast 70 to 80 deer in my life and it has to sport a decent rack.im not gna shoot something just to shoot it.im very picky

did you see the size of some of them bears posted?thats what its about the sheer sizes and some are gonna make beautiful rugs and skull mounts.i wonder what that 700lbers head is gna measure
