ON TRAPPING. [hihi]

Caught my first 3 muskrat of my life in colony traps in Fairfield in a small pond. YAY feeel more at ease now.

@ tinemaster- doubt you'll ever consider me competition. [hihi]. Send you an email. as per the state seems like i can go to that marsh area i was posting pics of. said if it's not posted to go for it. so set my first conibear in there. also set in someother woods my first snare on a log crossing into a pond area. really excited. just gotta learn different scat.. looked k-9ish.

Thats when i'll need more help. no discharge of firearms in my area. sooooo? beat it with a stick? toss a conibear over it? what would you guys do?

i spoke to someone with some knowledge he had said a township cant override a state season unless it is township property as far a shuntimg they can only impose a no discharge law it is all so confusing you have to be a lawyer to desifer all the legal junk good job you are doing well for the first week and first year of trapping speak to you soon

Take a pole and screw a sturdy eye in the end, form a wire loop/noose then you can lead it to the water and drown it. Gobblergetter would no more.

I also called pretty high up on the ladder to day in f/w almost to the top. townships can't override except for discharge of a firearm. with that being said it may take a court to get them to take it off the books. can't shoot rats.

And nice job on the rats

jakesbeard now that has won in court that worries me.

I would resort to the Fox dispatch method. A firm wrap on the bridge of the nose with a solid stick to knock him out and then stand on his heart/lungs till breathing stops.
