If hunting on Fort Dix is such a pain in the a$$ why do all you guys keep hunting there? I’ve hunted there for 10 years and not had any problems other than one stolen tree stand and some guys that do deer drives once in a while. So did you ever stop and think that you cry babies are making your own problems I mean after all it is public hunting ground and everyone has as much right to be there as you do even if you have been hunting there for 30 years so if you don’t like it go buy your own ground!

alot of people like myself cut our teeth hunting the base zone 21 ansd zone 48.unfortunately due to overcrowding and suburban development we are limited to certain pieces to hunt anymore.i myself hunt a handful of spots and its just downright rude ignorant and selfish to have someone else f*** up my hunt or cut me off cuz they feel they have the right. CATCH MY DRIFT.

So jersey thats why you got alot of fussing with the basehunters.A LONGTIME FRIEND OF MINE WHOS CONFINED TO A WHEELCHAIR HUNTS HARD BUT IS LIMITED AND EVERY YEAR SOME ASS CUTS EM OFF OR RUINS IT FOR HIM THATS WHY I GET PISSED BECUZ LACK OF RESPECT FOR FELLOW HUNTERS

There sure is a lot of bitching for the sake of bitching.
There is also some good ideas on how to improve things on base.
There has been a dramatic drop in the quality and quanity of bucks on the post.
Do we shut up about it or do we try and improve hunting on the post, In the least restricting way.
I'm for the latter. Maybe after these issues can be
addressed like adults we can stop all this endless bitching.

Would it be possible to have a meeting at r.14 after the season. to talk about the issues. Place a vote on those issues and give the results to the powers that be.

this is hunting in nj, there are to many yahoo hunters and to little land ,get used to it .if you dont like seeing others, hunters hunt when they cant ,I myself stopped hunting weekends and only hunt weekdays, no reson to go online and bitch nonstop cuz others are moving in on "your spot" they got the same cash as you got and the same right to be there. years of hunting dont mean anything . and like I said you guys just posted about hunting hounds down there and my phone has been ringing since that post ,you just brought alot more hunters down there ,so when you guys get ready to bitch next time you hear hounds think about it you invited us down there just by making one post on a public forum, thanks
Ah, there are acres and acres of land on Dix. The problem is people are lazy and all hunt the food plots. Do some scouting, stay away from the 1,2, and 3's. I hunt Dix, and will continue to search further away from the crowds. Besides, most of the public lands in NJ have the same problem.

Hey jnatc1 whats the problem with 1,2 and 3's. they are my main, areas. Used to see some good there now it's been horrible.
Nothing wrong with the deer in those areas, that's the problem. A lot of guys hunt there because those areas have some of the best deer on Dix because of the farms over there. Too many guys for my likes. I am not a trophy hunter, so I am satisfied with the smaller deer I see in my low traffic areas; I try to avoid the crowds. I like hunting Dix, there is so much land that people do not hunt. But I will hunt inside the wire too next year, just because I have seen some bruisers there. I'll have to see what the crowds are like though.

Actually jnatc1, they are the areas I have been concentrating on and let me tell you the bucks have become hard to come by in those areas.
I should start hunting deep in those pines but its just to hard to get fired up about a 110 pound buck.[confusedagain]

ft dix is shot up.i use to kill deer left and right over there now i suck at finding deer and actually hitting them.lol
