I was sitting in my stand yesterday (11-6-10) and was thinking how perfect the conditions were. I was waiting for a particular buck and I thought today was gonna be the day. Anyways, at around 4pm I hear a womans voice yelling in the distance....sammy, sam, sammy. I didn't think much of it until it would not stop and kept getting closer. At first I thought maybe it was an anti and she new i was in the woods. Finally, she walked about 100 yards away from my stand still yelling for sammy. I could see she was elderly and I figured my hunt is shot so I got out. I walked up to the woman and asked her if she had lost someone. At this time I could see she was crying and upset. She told me her inside cat named sammy ran out of the house and she can't find it. So now I'm walk through the woods (with a bow in my hand) yelling for this stupid cat. I searched with this lady till sundown and we never found the cat. At the end she told me how much she appreciated my help and if I ever wanted to park in her driveway to get to my stand I could. She said all the deer eat her flowers and I should shoot them all. lol. Sorry this was so long and stupid but I thought it was a funny situation.[lol]
