You and about 10,000 other people! There's a couple of hunters left in the campground. If you remember Marty on the right on the way in, I'm directly across from him. I have the big USA Flag hanging off my deck.

Hunterzub, yes, it is right next to the Walpack Inn. If you are interested, the number is 1-973-948-4384 owners name is Ken. The Flatbrook runs right next to the tent campsite(look at the pics) and it gets stocked during the spring season. Something Roland never did for us.

If your talking about Bear Creek I stayed there memorial day weekend. Place was great and kenny was cool as hell! It was me, my wife, my hunting buddy, my brother, and his wife. It was a drunken blur. Me and my buddy talked about camping there for a few days during hunting season but it never happened. Maybe next year.

Man, I'm dying here. Great pics. I was just checking out Bear Creek? Is that this little slice of heaven? My wife is really into going, she doesn't hunt but a great cook who can help out butchering.

Where do you check in the kill? Is it alright to butcher righ there at camp? Awsome.

Anybody interested in a a 1 or 2 day family trip or just you and your wife? Or several folks?

After seeing these pics, I am really stoked to do it. I use to camp extensively, but I haven't done it in many years. I didn't hunt back then. Now combining the two I'd really like to set up a trip.

TSPenn, you can check in deer at the Layton Hotel, about 6-7 miles away in Layton NJ. It's a bar so if you get out after dark, they'll be open. I believe you can butcher in camp, but PLEASE, immediately remove any scraps, as we have a few resident bears who can easily become a problem. Ask the owner to make sure. The nearest market is about 10 miles away in Branchville. Go about 15 or so miles to Newton/Hampton boarder on rt 206, and there is a Shop Rite, WalMart etc. As said before, the owner is a State Trooper, and isn't always around. Try calling after 7PM weekdays or on the weekends.
