batsto, bass river, and in general the whole wharton track is bad.
the coyotes are killing everything. when i was in there after a fresh snow, k9 tracks on every two track and fire break. didn't cut a deer track for 4 hours, and covering a huge area.
we did finally see a few deer. they where up on top, in the wide open. nothing can sneak up on them there.
the dogs took over the cedar swamps. there deer don't have their traditional yard areas anymore.
F+G, it is time for a war on coyotes. let us take one during any open hunting season, incidental, not actively calling for them. that would give us almost a full year at them.

we can kill them during bow and muzzy.i did find a big herd of deer there however so i been looking at a big piece they been in.im seeing them there just not alot.ive baited sum swamp there for 3 weeks and havent had a deer touch it at all

agree what else someone else said about yotes around swamps in 23. I was back in 23 in late january/february and coyote tracks everywhere.
Where im bowhunting tomorrow (young pines with a few oaks) I have way less than deer then years ago but the ratio is almost 50/50 bucks & does. Same dozen deer been coming in at various times. a small 8, couple Y's and a couple spikes. no buttons rest all does.

Hey if you guys have some places where there's yotes, please drop me a PM with some locations (even rough idea areas). I'd love to head down there in predator season to knock some out. Not interested in deer hunting down there at all, just yotes (and foxes)...so no worries about me hijacking your hunting spots (yes I'm serious).
