So me and my brother hunting Assunpink tonight around 5ish i see two yearlings and 5 minutes later see a car pull up next to them and the guy with a crossbow shoots the deer so they park and look for 5 minutes and walk away what fing assholes people are i would have confronted them but i was too far away and they bounced with in 5min so thanks for deer which was only 40 yards from were u shot it[wallmad][wallmad]
Saw two doe tonight and the poachers who shot them out there window

On October 10th i was at assunpink wma with my brother and saw 3 deer near the road 5 minutes later a black suv looked like a gmc jimmy pulled up and a guy with a crossbow shoots from the window and hits deer. they get out and track for 5 minutes then leave just wanted to let you know to keep a look out because this poaching from cars is ridiculous and these people need to get caught gives us real sportsman a bad name

Is there a law in NJ about wanton waste of game? I know other states have it. If you shoot a animal you must make a reasonable effort to retrieve that animal.

Listen BC is not the enemy here, its the poachers!
I despised crossbows when they were introduced, they're here so get over it! However I've heard stories, and seen typical whack jobs, busting peoples hunts(mine on Saturday) or taking ultra long shots!
No I don't care if they allow crossbows, but it allowed a more sinister, evil, unethical mindset of a FEW hunters to ruin it for everyone!
