Great night tonight. Last night was a bust, not a deer to be seen. Tonight they came out of the woodwork. 4 Point grunting and chasing a doe at 75 yards. Some does moved into the MO Buck Plus and started chowing down, with the yearlings hanging back 10 yards to the front and left of my stand. Out of the thicket behind me and passing 12 yards to the left and infront of me a basket six walks by, then a 4 point, then a unicorn spike. I hear more steps from behind, turn my head, and see a long tine passing by.
I start to lift the excalibur, and one of the yearlings start doing a spitting noise, the buck looks at them, they're looking away from me, so the buck then looks the same way as they are. I lift the xbow up to my shoulder and drilled him through the lungs at 12 yards. Found only a couple of drops of blood, so I started a tissue trail in case I lost the blood trail. Went about 75 yards and saw the white belly up! So my target buck is down.....and yes I'll change my handle to "Two Shots One Kill"
since I missed him once before!
