Apples will draw them from greater distances. I take a few and smear them about 4 or 5 feet off the ground to really get the scent of the apples in the air. mixture of corn and apples seems to be the best overall bait. the protien feed is also really good.

I mix my corn with cravin apples deer attractant and the deer tear it up! I have corn out with out it and they ignore it.

i just ordered 2 bins of sweet potates 4 bins of apples 7 acres of corn im gonna pick soon i have 2 pallets of 12% sweet feed then i top things with tspenns mo buck and a little salt and acorn rage its like a sundae lotta work im gonna call deermaster to help me set up the piles im getting tired hope the supplies last thru november

I have had good sized bucks come into the apples, not so with the corn, although if you just want to shoot a deer, they linger longer with the corn if you spread it out. There grazing animals, they are more comfortable milling around while they eat. They eat a couple apples, then there out, they dont linger as long. Corn is easier to transport to then the apples.

I've put out corn and apples right next to each other. The corn disappeared, and the apples were ignored.
