I am about to move into the heart of the Piney's. Can any body tell me if there are deer ther?

Yes there are deer there. I've never personally hunted the pinelands, but from what i've read the deer down there are considerabley smaller than the deer in Northern and Central Jersey. The reason for this is because of the lack of nutrients. They don't have many oak trees down there.

where about in the pines you moving to? there are def. deer around but they are the size of dogs. the biggest bucks my father and I have gotten had some nice head gear but weighed 100 to 105 lbs.

Yes -Deer are in the barrens and bogs - Check old burns with new growth.

Lots of deer in the pines and the smartest deer in the state. Some body wrote not to many oak trees in the pines but theres tons of corn HAHA! I've been hunting these pine deer a long time and they are slick hunting over bait or not. good luck. Oh by the way youll come to hate coyotes.
