You're absolutely right Matty...except if a torque issue in involved. Then you have what NJBA is in the midst of.
That's what I meant, and it's not related to just torque. As I mentioned above, other issues can cause this issue. Spine, tune, form, grip, bow defects, etc.

You have to rule out all possibilities until you find the culprit.

I simply meant he should not have to change any equipment, because nothing is "suspect". Just the torque or bow defects.

And NJBA sounds like he knows quite a bit, so I assume that he is already shooting with a sling set correctly and a loose grip. You can still torque a bow with a relaxed grip. You have to place your hand into the grip the exact same way every time, otherwise you can impart torque.

Gotcha Matty. I agree, it seems he was doing all the right things up to this point, except that it probably was not any of them. But having said that, if the torque issue is not addressed "first" then all the other adjustments are useless. Even if he did manage to "adjust out" the torque by changing shafts and so on, it would be a "false tune" imo, because he would be compensating for the effect the torque was having on his arrow flight by changing things instead of stopping the torquing. And, it's probably the simplest one to discover once you know what to look for.

Torque it is!

Getting use to this thinner Mathews grip, I must have started a bad habit in my grip that caused me to torque the bow.

When I first got the bow 2 weeks ago, I was really trying to keep a very open/loose grip. Tonight I went back to the way I have always gripped my bows and my problem seams to have fixed itself:)

You can still torque a bow with a relaxed grip.
Yes and I think I was trying to be too loose. My BH and FP were shooting together at 20 yards, pretty good at 30 too, but at 40, I cant tell yet... a litlle windy tonight so I was moving around a bit...will give it a try again at 40 early tomorrow morning.

Thanks for the tips and advice...sometimes I get in the habit of over engineering things and look past the obvious.

Problem fixed...here are two groups I shot this morning at 20 yards, 2 with field tips, 2 with broad heads

Now Im gonna adjust my sight to bring them up and left a little, then try again at 40 yards.

Thank you to everyone for your advice...this was driving me crazy last week. I leave for NM Unit 17 next Friday for my Elk Hunt :)

What was the issue?
Actually, it was me getting use to a Mathews grip...much thinner than what I was use to. I didnt think I had big hands but I guess I do.

What did the trick was to grip the bow along my lifeline in my hand so that the heal of my hand does not touch the grip. My wrist strap was also a little tight so i loosened up that as well.

Once I made this change, they grouped together :)
