I have no pictures of large bucks, but am getting about 100 pictures a day of a group of about 6 does and two fawns, one of them being this one pictured below. She has a broken front leg, and looks like she was hit by a car. It has been a couple of weeks since I noticed the broken leg, and it seems like she is getting by ok...missing some hair on her back/side, and is very skinny, but I have seen her jump over a fence a few days ago. My question is should I shoot this deer if she presents a shot this season? Not sure if she will survive or not, and she may be too skinny or maybe be infected or have damaged meat? Any opinions? Also, the second one is a small bear that I see every day...he/she actually has a cool white patch on his chest that you can't see in the picture.

Only you can make that decision if it was me I would shoot her.

Looks like the bear smells a weak deer and is following her soon to be death trail. As for the deer,i would put it out of it's misery and let nature handle the rest, you would be doing her a favor.Take her out,get your arrow and move on.

I have a doe, this will be her 4th season, completely missing a front leg, at one of my spots. Two years in a row she has seemed to be one of the healthiest in the herd and also has had faws with her, yet I have taken other smaller deer from the same area with broken legs that seemed less capable of surviving. This is a decision that only you can make as you know your property best and what it holds.
