Notice how I said "runs into arrow" the title of the article is "Girl is shot by arrow" Gotta love how the shooter seems to get blamed. Anyway, here's the story.

A 7-year-old girl was seriously injured in Bridgewater Tuesday after she wandered into the path of a boy firing a bow-and-arrow, police said today.

Police said the girl, who was not named, was playing with friends at a home on Sussex Avenue shortly before 6 p.m. when she mistakenly ran in front of an archery target being used by a neighbor.

Share A boy, also unnamed, fired an arrow just as the 7-year-old crossed in front of the target and was hit between the eye and the nose, police said.

Emergency officials arrived at the scene a short time later and transported the girl, who was unconscious but in stable condition, to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Center in New Brunswick.

Bridgewater Police Lt. Al Nicaretta said the girl was expected to survive and no charges were filed in relation to the incident.

“She is alive and hopefully she will be for a very, very long time,” Nicaretta said. “It seems like, from all investigative areas, this was just an unfortunate accident.”

It wasn't a hunter but two irrespondible kids who weren't paying attention to what they were doing. Same as any idiot who played with found gun and someone got shot by accident.. But still the anti's are gonna exploit this to the max.

If she was running in front of the flight pattern of the arrow, it could have hit on the bridge of her nose sideways in between her eyes.

But still the anti's are gonna exploit this to the max.
yes they are..at least it didnt happen during hunting season...then the 150 foot talk would talk. [wallmad]

Its unfortunate that because of this, getting the 150' Rule Passed will give the antis that much more to bitch about. [wallmad]

I would like to know more about what kind of bow it was & how old the person was, if anyone finds any info post it. This is an interesting story.
