While I own both bowtech and hoyt and like them both if I were to choose right now I would definately go hoyt. Bowtech is having problems again. I am some what amazed that they have stayed a float with all the problems they have had over the years. Right now they have a bunch of 350 destroyers that are derailing, and a few bows snapping the flex guard off.

Bamboo Backed Osage Longbow, shooting wild rose shafted arrows or river cane shafted arrows. Hands down the finest shooting bow made.;) [drinking]:D

rumor mill....one guy on archery talk who set his bow up himself had the problem.. He either never tightened limb pocket screws or overtightened them. Also Bowtech has a video up with a guy cutting the flex guard and then shooting the bow....no derailment. I own a Tomkat and a destroyer 340. Both great shooting bows. Do your research, shoot a bunch of bows, shoot whats comfortable and stay out of the rumor mill!

I know of 8 different 350 destroyers that derailed in the last 2 months it isn't an isolated incident. The flexguard deal isn't causing the derailment, the flexguard is just breaking. I watched the video where they cut the flexguard trying to prove a point. The big issue is the string coming out of the cams during draw. Some are blaming torque by the shooter others are claiming a cam design flaw either way I'll wait until they get it straightened out before buying one.
