Great man for letting that fish go!![up] I think if he has video and picture proof they should give it to him. That lake holds some lunkers[up]

That's a decent size fish. I wonder if it one of those guys that makes those over sized lures specifically targeting record sized fish.

if they recognize the catch as a world record, this guy is looking at a million dollars right off the top! with tackle endorsements and the talk show circuit this guy is gonna be rich!
great fish[up] i guess i can give up trying to catch the world record now[sad][hihi][hihi]

He has to prove it first . I don't think that a photo will be enough.

It needs to be officailly weighed and measured for the record to stand.

Awesome Bass!

the way the foul hook thing works for igfa is if you try to foul hook the fish its no good. But if you are fishing and happen to foul hook the fish it might count. Its kinda screwy but they're trying to avoid people intentionally snagging fish, by accident is something else.

Frankly, if you've read all the BS the guy that caught the world record striped b [no swearing please] went through, I'd take a picture, throw em all back and leave it at that. Its like anything, as soon as you do something cool, sour grapes say you cheated. Just look at all the BS that flies around any of the offshore tournaments each summer.

This guy has been documented for catching many, many large b [no swearing please] out of this lake. Something tells me he would have no reason to cheat based on that. Either way, that fish is one big pig.
