But, work remains. This was not a slam dunk and took a lot of persuasion using facts. The antis went to great lengths to mischaracterize the bill and pepper their testimony with falsehoods.

More details to follow. Ed Markowski and Tom Connors represented NJOA at the committee hearing. NJ Audubon, Farm Bureau, NJCF, UBNJ, and others testified on behalf and in favor of the bill.

If I missed any group I apologize, I didn't hear all of the testimony. I'm sure Tom (Stronski) will update us with the specifics.

Albano, Nelson T. - Chair (Y)
Riley, Celeste M. - Vice Chair (Y)
Amodeo, John F. (Y)
Dancer, Ronald S. (Y)
Wilson, Gilbert L. (Y)

I was there, this is one time facts out weighed emotion. The antis did everything to try and change their minds. Doris Lin even testified holding her todler saying an arrow could hit her. But in the end the facts we relayed to them made sense and the vote was unanimous! Thank you to all who called and emailed over the past few days. It made a difference!

It needs to be brought to a vote in both houses. last year it passed the Assembly 61-2. It never came up in the Senate. I think Sen. Sweeny will release it for a vote this time. Once it passes both houses the off the the Gov. To sign!

All I can say is :D
Thanks EVERYONE [up][up]
