Most likely correct based on the actual mount!....If it were a Brown trout it should have spots on their dorsal fins.
(While it is possible the taxidermist left that detail out..then debating what kind of fish it is is somewhat pointless in the first place, if it doesn't represent that actual fish that was caught.)
Exactly, I think the original fish was likely a female brown trout..and the taxidermist just left out alot of details making the mount resemble a coho.
