Look up all the northern WMA's. Scouting is key, they get hit hard especially in the early season so you have to do your homework. Find any river and you will have some woodies on it in the early season, and as long as there is open water, big ducks in the late. The deeper you go into the marsh will usually result in better shooting. Theres a ton of little nooks and crannys up north to find. we are still finding them, and some are closer than you think. Good luck.

No ducks in North jersey
There's A TON of ducks in the coastal and southern regions [up][up][up][up][up]

Like mosquitoes

In all seriousness, there's dozens and dozens of spots, some obvious (WMAs and other state land like Black River, the Delware Water Gap, etc.), some not (like little back creeks). Spring is a good time to drive around and scout out spots.

As Murray said the spring is a great time to scout. You catch the birds coming back to the same spots you will catch them migrating through in the fall. Back creeks and swamps are your best bet, along with utilizing google maps to find alot of areas you would think are not even there.
