Record number of Bald Eagles wintering in NJ

The annual mid-winter survey has found a record number of bald eagles wintering in New Jersey. Read the details, including a a breakdown of this year's count as well as a graph showing counts from 1978 to the present, on the division's website at

now thats a wonderful thing with these gorgeous birds returning. I've seen a few up at the WATER GAP area, what a sight to see the bird of this wonderful country flying[up]

They always have been along the Delmarva especially on the Delaware Bucks Co. north on the Pa. side.[cool]

That's awesome that they are making a comeback. But, I have yet to see one in NJ.

I've seen a couple of them in NJ... I once saw one in a tree at Lake Hopatcong...He was awesome![up]

Believe it or not I saw one in Bound Brook flying over the creek by E. Main St. and Tea St. by the 287 bridge. I thought I was seeing things, very cool!

Saw one in Edison 2 years ago. Dropped bunkers all over the park. Guess only stripers and crabs like them.
