- thanks for the support and advice, as for the bullets, i originally was using a 233 grain... at the range they worked great out to fifty yards, then once i hit 75 yards their accuracy began to drop, and then once i moved out to 100 yds i could not even hit the paper...i had no idea why this was happening, but then i moved up to a heavier bullet, 295 gr. then i had no accuracy problems what so ever. Then to even make my gun even more accurate i dropped my powder measure...i shoot loose pyrodex....and instead of using 100 grains i began to use 90 grains....and with a rest at 100 yds i put bullets inside of bullets....so here is what i am wondering now after i have shot a deer with this set up....i was thinking that i may up my powder measure to 110 or keeping it at 90 grains and dropping the bullet weight....do you have any thoughts or either of those decisions?
