Getting ready to leave for my first predator hunt. Will do some goose hunting first and once the sun sets, out comes the FoxPro Spitfire and red lights! Have done some scouting and seen some areas with a lot of sign. Also have done a lot of research on techniques. Hope I can apply what I have learned and call something in.

yes.
i called in a family group last year, night calling.
they make some strange sounds.
i didn't shoot, but later caught a few trapping. left the rest for another year.

How do you like the Spitfire?

I've been thinking about picking up an electronic caller, & really like the Fox Pro lineup - but up to now they've been cost prohibitive. At $199.00 the Spitfire may just be what I was looking for.

What's you opinion? [confused]

I did 2 sets one at 5 nothing but I think I scared a bow hunter to death LOL his father heard the call and thought sompin was getting killed he was going in to get his son the kid was down the way from me LOL poor kid man if you are on here I am sorry [hihi] sec set went with a diapharm first then went into howls and on the e caller and pup yelps on the di the wind kicked up called it quits at 7 pm.
Good luck to you all I am really likin the sounds of the di Gob you want a set?

I'm hooked!!!! I can't believe it. 1st ten minutes ever predator hunting and we called a fox in. Problem was the red light my buddy got did not shine much past 20 yards. Caught a peak at the eyes and a brief glimpse of the body at about 30-35 yards. No shot. Ended up using a light I rigged up. Made 2 more sets and nothing. Wind was brutal and we started to freeze. Need a better light and Cabelas is gonna get an order tomorrow.

I can't compare it to anything because I have not used anything else. I did my research and found very few complaints. Got it from allpredatorcall.com Got to chose 24 preprogrammed sounds from the huge list FoxPro has. Real easy to use and sounded plenty loud to me.

I like the sound and the flexibility of the diaphram too. It leaves your hands free and you can tone it down to a crying whimper as the critter gets close. But they can be tireing to use as too much forch is needed to get alot of volum out of them.
I will usually use a hand held and switch to a diaphram as the fox/coyote gets closer.

Thanks for the offer but I have lots of calls from last turkey season that I haven't blown out yet.
Appreciate it [up]

well these are made for the preds. pup distress, cat distress, bird and a howler and one more can't remember.[rofl]

Guys just remember night calling can kill ya If you don't keep your head about ya. it is darks and you must id your critters.and only shoot the lanes you talk about with your partner. don't sec guess.

I did not use lights last night as the snow was lite up.

i should of called in the back yard last night.
i have a bait station going, k9 tracks showed last night.
