My daughter Courtney(newberrgirl) is a fine example of what we need for the future of bowhunting. She has been bowhunting for 3 years now. She has taken 6 deer with her bow. But above her kills is what she does for the sport. She helps the UBNJ out with any shows or shoots she can. She tells other kids her age that it is ok to hunt and why it is ok to hunt. Now she has asked me if she can try to organize the junior ubnj members to help out and get other kids into archery and bowhunting.
I am so very proud of her and will help her accomplish this goal. She does all of this besides having an A&B average in school and playing for her school and a travel softball team. We need more kids like her in the sport. If we get them bowhunting will be around for a long time. Houndawgg will be posting pics to go with this thread soon. I'm not good with that stuff.

Thanks guys and I am extremely proud of her. I see kids everyday that have no respect for adults or police officers or anyone for that matter. I am glad she enjoys the outdoors and not sitting in front of the tv.

NJBowman, I can totally understand your proud feelings, My step daughter is 17 now and she is such a good kid, she has her firearms license and has only hunted a few times but will sit for hours shooting the .22, although she never took to the bow, I know having some understanding of nature and the outdoors will help though her lifes endevours, tell your daughter keep up the good work.
