This week NJOA-EP and Hudson Farm is conducting a whitetail hunt for the physically challenged. A couple of things have come up and I've lost a volunteer.

If you are available -- especially Wednesday and Thursday this week and you and I know each other fairly well, please contact me either here, via PM or my cell.

You must have your valid 2009 NJ hunting license to volunteer.

Thank you very much.

Pola is an incredible, selfless, giving individual, whom holds seats on several state hunting organizations and does so much for all us hunter, More then you guys could ever guess, I trust her and can say if she says she needs to know the person semi personally that she is trusting with the life of a disabled person, I can't say I blame her for wanting to know this person is a honorable and trust worthy individual ;)

Good Luck Pola wish I could you.

Sorry, there is no room for additional disabled hunters at this time but if you send me a PM with your information, I would appreciate it. I'll reach out to you too but we probably will not have another opportunity until next year.

For the person who questioned me about "why post it here?" - My laptop with my address book exploded before I left for my annual Maine hunt and I've been hobbling along without it. I know quite a few people who post here and thought this was a way to reach them quickly -- it's not about me. It's about a safe and good experience for those Sam and I are responsible for.

Thanks for your help - I am a hunter ed instructor and I often remind new hunters about what a close knit community hunters are and how they can become part of it. I often depend on that hunter trait.

Pola,

I think you and I have only met once or twice at Hunter Ed things, like teaching youth archery at Pequest.

I could be wrong and if that's not enough, maybe Sam can vouch for me that I'm not a terrible guy.[rofl]

I pm'd you my email and cell number. Or you can have Sam reach out to me.

I would be willing and honored to volunteer Wednesday and Thursday if it's something I can do.

I will be writing a series of articles and it has been publicized. Sometimes doing good deeds are not always newsworthy to reporters.

This is a year one project. Partners are the Hudson Farm and the New Jersey Outdoor Alliance Environmental Projects 501(c)(3).

We conducted a bow hunt in October and we are in the middle of the shotgun hunt. We're getting there and are a work in progress.

If anyone is interested in following us or being on my email list for notices, etc. email me at pgalie@njoutdooralliance.org. You can check out www.njoutdooralliance.org or http://www.njquailproject.org too.

The team has also been involved with the Physically Challenged Bowhunters of America and Wounded Warriors in Action. Co chairs of this event are myself and Sam Yarosh.

Other Sponsors and Supporters include: Black Knight Bowbenders, Ocean County Federation of Sportsmen's Clubs, Traditional Archers of New Jersey.
