I have a winchester model 1300 12 ga with mod choke. Would like to get a choke for buckshot. Should I get full or xtra full?

Find someone that shoots win. I shoot a rem 1187 only shoots OOObuck 3" federal with good pattern to 45yards, after that its a little sketchy. I shot my turkey choke and don't like it!

I prefer Impoved Cylinder
Do not get x-full. Try the mod. first then go to full if you do not get 80% in a 20' circle at 40 yds.

i'll be using mod. in my 870. with 2 3/4" rem #1,and 3" win #1,00. mine likes the 3" fed plated #1 but for $11.00 per box[eek].

full. i never liked screw in chokes and 3 of my shotguns are straight full choked barrels.when i learned years ago from my grandfather and dad it was a old h@r singleshot with a 30 inch barrel. besides a great tight pattern, a full choke makes you a better shot. there is no forgiveness like a modified choke. mike

[eek] I own Patternmaster chokes for two of my guns. It is the best all around choke for buckshot, steel shot, and turkey shot. BE CAREFUL OF ONE THING, this choke only works right when there is a plastic sleeve around the shot. Some buckshot loads do not have this and it will be worthless.
