Heyy guys on way homee sat the afternoon in zone 8(morris county) i saw 6 does come in one group of 2 and another of 4. they were very skittish and did not come into the bait assuming because i had doe and estrus out but no bucks were following these does veery odd i thought maybee its over. thenon my way home route 206 in chester saw 4 does andd said ok no buck its deffinetely over but then 30yards down the rd there was a 4 pt standing on side of rd i thought cold weather today wuda had em movin so what does everyone else think
is the rut over or is it nocturnal?

Saw a buck chasing does along Interstate 90 in Indiana today. Does that help

The Buck I stuffed in my Jeep the other day had TARSALS that stunk so bad that we ain't gonna be using that vehicle to go out to dinner for a while.... [eek]

Had a shooter buck out of range, and well I cant shoot another buck making scrapes tonight and chasing does

A few years back, I was hunting shotgun 1st half of December, in Zone 37 (Ft Dix) and I saw two good rack bucks chasing after a single doe, so after that I hold out hope that the rut in this area will go into December.
I for one am not seeing much in daylight hours, only getting photos at night

Big bucks will be out trolling soon.Lockdown right now.When they start trolling calling is very effective.I've always rattled in bucks in late November.
