I'm not so sure that fish was caught here. thats big for florida!! the growing season here is way to short for a fish that big..as pressured as assinpink lake is. plust that fish has to be at the time it was caught some thing like 40 years old I dobut b [no swearing please] live that long at all let alone in kill'em and grill'em Jersey....plus try to keep a fish that big a secret! Just my .02 cents

If my customers don't want to have the weight on the fish they catch, certified thats there problem. I was with a guy who now lives in colorado, when he caught a 9 1/2 lb smallmouth b [no swearing please] at Glendola Res. in Wall NJ and a 5 1/2 lb yellow perch. He didn't have either one of them certified. That was his lose, but we did catch some very large smallmouths and perch there.

When I start lying about things you guys will be the first to know. I only post things that I think you would like to see or read about, I have nothing to prove to anybody.

PS: I am not mad at anybody!!

rgs,any pics of that yellow perch? The b [no swearing please] I beleive, but I don't know about a 5 1/2 lb perch, that sounds like world record material. I hope Shawn M. comes across this thread, I'd like to hear his thoughts, because god knows he catches a lot of perch. That's mind boggling HUGE.

Hey I don't think you are lying I just think you buddy may be pulling your leg is all..I simply don't think a large mouth can get quite that big in New Jersey is all..I hope they can!! but I doubt it.

I was standing right next to him and yes it was huge. We were useing ex large pike spinners with a wad of fur that was as wide as a soda can, with a 3-0 tremble hook, the lure is almost as large as some of the jersey trout I catch. We fished into the wind along the bottom of the res.Where the wind had the bait fish stacked up.
