What slug gun...

Looking for a slug gun that will drive tacks without completely breaking the bank...My 870 does the trick at 75 and 100 but...Some new spots make longer shots possible. While I primarily bowhunt, im looking into a new slug gun.

What are your thoughts??? Thanks???

With the right slugs and right barrel I would expect you to shoot a 6" group @ 100yds with your 870.
When you're reaching out to 125-150 range estimation and trajectory are the things you should be concerned about. Your 870 should do the trick. As a wise man (USPSA Master) said to me "It's not the arrow, it's the Indian"

LOL...Ill shoot deer out to 50/60 with the bow with no hesitation. Im more confident in my bow then my gun[lol]

Ultra slug hunter A tad bit on the heavy side but with a rest well worth it You can free hand also just a tad heavy.

mossberg 500 with a rifled barrel.20 guage. reliable,not heavy, and just an all around good all purpose gun

My one good crack at a buck each year comes during 6 day, and I dont wanna miss the chance b/c of my gun! Thus extending the range a little would be perfect[up]
