I have a 20 year old prefab fireplace in my living room. Would love to upgrade to a wood stove insert. Few questions:

1) I have heard differing opinions that you can adn can not put a stove insert into a metal prefab. Whats the truth?

2) Are there any guys out there who do this for a living and want to give me an estimate?

i took a wood stove and just inserted the piping into the prefab fireplace and created a block off plate to reduce heat loss up the chimney pipe. Works like a charm.

i have had a few of them over the years they are the way to go the one i got now i get a ten hour burn[up]

Call D&W in Whitehouse[up][up][up] They {Walt} did my insert last October, they were over $1000 cheaper than the competition and did a great job.
