Planning Great Bay area. Missed opening day. Only hit south zone twice.

Well I missed Thanksgiving due to unplanned issues. Now will try Friday. I hope the reports of no birds around changes with these few days of cold weather.

HA - I started this post in 2011 - I chickened out of launching without looking or scouting for this year. Went to a south zone spot with no luck Thanksgiving. Yesterday hit another south zone spot and got 2 hooded merganzers and 2 buffleheads. Then drove down to great bay blvd for a road scouting drive.

The old first bridge ramp looks ok but maybe silted in more. Ramp walkways and docks gone or severely damaged with no tresspassing signs. Looks like us duck hunters could launch but need to call and find out if OK to do so with the signs. Probably has to keep it clear for insurance. Nothing special seen duck wise.

The road must have been under about 3 ft of water or more by the looks of stranded debris.
