I turned in the paperwork folder to the local police dept on 7/13/22, still being patient. fingers crossed at least before the end of the month
WHO WILL BE APPLYING FOR A CCW IN NJ?
Wondering who will apply now that SCOTUS has ruled in our favor. I know it will take a while to get things ironed out in NJ but once everything is in place and the classes and qualifications are met who will be applying. I say better have it and not need it. I will apply as soon as things are in place. NJ won't surrender on this and will prob pass some regs to get around it so we might have to wait a little longer than most. I will get the classes and qualification out of the way though.

All my references were contacted today. Nice to know things are moving along now. Hopefully no later than xmas. Now wouldn't that make a great gift.
I received an e mail today stating my paperwork has been forwarded to Ocean County from my local PD .
They also said that Ocean County has been pretty good at getting them back within 30 days .

Got my CCW Permit this week, Warren County started the process on 7/13/22, the permit was issued on 12/5/22. Finally, just in time for new law to stop letting it be legal anyplace
I received my permit 11/14. No restrictions and I did not receive a court order to be carried with permit. Ocean county.
Remember it us not a ccw permit at the moment it is a permit to carry a handgun. Same here slayer. They told me around 5 weeks it's been 8. Hope they give me at least a week before we get screwed. Don't forget to sign up to US Law Shield ccw insurance before you start carrying. When are these new laws going into effect anyone know?

My friend has NJ Law Shield he got his license 8/30 they're the only ones he found that cover NJ. When I get the call I will sign up then go pick up the license.

Nothing passes the requirements if passed so That should be an unconstitutional requirement
It will be thrown out in court its just a temporary ball breaker from the state
The insurance covers all legal fees for trial civil and appeal if necessary plus 365 day 24 hour attorney answered hotline plus a lot more for $11 a month.
I am on board with signing up the day I hear my permit is in. This coverage is far better than no coverage

Do we have to attend a court hearing to get our license?. My friend in Annandale didn't have to do this he just got the call and went and picked it up. I have not gotten any call about a hearing.
I'm in Ocean as well. My references were not contacted for an interview I did not have to attend a court date and I did not receive the order that people are talking about. I received my permit with no restrictions and a copy of my application with judges signature that is it. I'm in Jackson my references were contacted the officer said they had to schedule a court date I didn't know what that meant at the time. I'm hoping I don't have to be there I think that is total BS. What could they ask you that is not on the application?
