99.9% of the time I'm carrying a Kershaw Leek and/or a Buck 308 pocket knife. I've had a knife in my pocket since I was sever or eight years old. Back in the good old days I actually had an Uncle Henry LB8 on my side in school, and no one ever freaked out.

I always carry a pocket knife. Just something I have always done. When I was little I asked my grandpop if he had a knife to cut my fishing line and he told me that I should always have a pocket knife.....so thats what I do.

Anyway, I am at work today and my secretary got all scared when she saw a small knife on my desk. I told her that I always have a pocket knife with me. Whether its for cutting fishing line, picking my teeth, getting dirt out from under my finger nails....etc...etc...I always have it. She looked at me like I was crazy for carrying a knife around.

Our kitchen at work is full of knives, and she gets scared from a little buck knife[confused]
The liberal media ... has the general population conditioned well... after half a century of demonizing anything that could POSSIBLY be construed as a weapon. It's the "Nanny State" mentality that they use to make the population subservient to their will or agenda. Make the people helpless and fearful and dependent on the state for protection from ... well ... everything... LOL

I have knives and firearms all over the place in various stages of being used or being put away. Never give it a second thought. If somebody fears inanimate objects?... they don't have to visit...LOL Have a lot of flashlights out all over too. Guess they're not so scary... although they are black and LOOK evil. <wink>

Kind of like our new paramilitary police forces that are here "to protect & serve." But they look more like they're here to overthrow and subdue. In their black outfits, black boots, gloves, masks, rifles, light gray lettering on black cop cars, etc., etc., etc. <smile> Not your neighborhood cops in blue walking a beat anymore are they?...LOL

Anyway ...as for knives, I carry a Leatherman multitool for the last 25 years or so. Must use that thing 3 or 4 times per day every day of my life! Speaking of scary knives, I had United Airlines confiscate a perfectly legal $100.00 Leatherman two years ago because the "Pilots" deem it a potential terrorist tool. Had a long discussion with the Feds about it and they said the pilots have the final say and United pilots won't allow them even though the TSA does. I tell the Feds I'm heading to work on US Air Force & Navy bases and vetted to carry firearms unescorted 24/7 on the military bases and I can't have a pair of pliers buried in my carry on??? ... didn't matter. That's what the media has done to our civil liberties and the minds of our citizens.

I have a victorinox two blade pen knife that My mom gave me when I was about 9 years old. Over thirty years later it's still in my pocket. The red finish is nearly 3/4's gone, and I broke the tip off while tigtening the hand grip screws on my 1911 .45 in the Marines during the first Gulf War. That knife has been around the world more than once, it's been through the wash well over 1000 times, but it's still sharp, and I'll probably be burried with it!
I`m 73 years old and have always ,always had one in my pocket, always, just like my wallet, never leave home with out it, since I was ten.
