State Record White Crappie Caught
The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection’s Division of Fish and Wildlife has certified a new state record white crappie that was caught from Leonard’s Lake in Carney’s Point, Salem County on June 13. Tim Durand, also of Carney’s Point, caught a 2 pound, 11 ounce white crappie that weighed one ounce more than the previous record taken from Riverview Beach Park, Pennsville in 1997.
