Strictly in store, I've purchased 9mm recently at Meltzers in Garfield and Davis Shooting outside of Goshen NY.
Online, I've purchased 1000 rounds in the past few months from Natchez shooters. They don't back order so you have to check several times a day. Once a week or so, something you're interested in will come in stock. Buy it immediately. Within hours it will be out of stock.
There was plenty of ammo at the Middletown Gun show over the weekend but it wasn't cheap.
At this point, if you find something that you want/need...BUY IT!
Ammo supplies are drying up like a west Texas creekbed mid-July. You're almost certainly going to pay more than you should ( & much more than you would have only a year ago), but it's come down to a supply & demand market pricing situation. Demand is outstripping supply right now, & the market is reflecting this.
Ammo prices were driven up to today's record highs by the coming together of the "perfect storm" scenario. Ammo companies' altering production schedules to meet military production demands, last years surge in raw metals prices, & the Obama doomsday predictions of future guns & ammo bans that has caused massive hoarding of these commodities on an unprecedented level.
