The biggest suprise I ever had with a deer was at a house I was working on in Chester. I was working in the house and had to go back out to my van to get something. I went out the front door and when I rounded the corner by the garage I was almost flattened by a doe running out of the garage! The home owner told me to keep the garage door closed but I had forgotten to close it after bringing in my equipment. The doe was eating from a 50lb. bag of bird seed that was in there. What a mess she made! Lucky for me the home owner wasn't home and I got the garage cleaned up before she got back. I must say that was the place I was most suprised to see a deer.

I went to Rutgers-Newark, my fiance went to Rutgers-New Brunswick. I guess it shouldn't be much of a suprise they do have a farm.
I did see a dead one going down the Harlem River Drive.

Swimming in the ocean in Long Branch - A huge buck that got chased in a few years ago!!!

Also, running across the ice in the Shrewsbury River from the Rumson shoreline to an island in the middle of the river in between the Sea Bright/Monmouth Beach shorelines. At night we would shine lights on the island and all you would see their eyes light up!!!!

When the river freezes you have everything from deer, to red foxes, to raccoons, to harbor seals all playing on the ice and running around!!!!

One other place is in the small patch of woods about a 10 foot strip of land adjacent to the Cabaret Go Go Bar and the old Bendix Plant on Rte. 35 in Eatontown. Usually a few deer killed on Rte. 35 there each year.

Had one actually get inside the 8 ft barbed wire fence surounding the Bendix Plant. Humane Society from the Popcorn Zoo in Lacey Twp. came up and hit it with a bunch of tranquilizer darts. Found out the deer died the next day from the overdose!!!!!

Drag... there is a ton of deer in bridgewater by all those companies.

Tail Chaser... i work in Tenafly, i've seen some huge bucks right in town by all the mansions.

When i used to live in Hillside, a couple of times a deer found it's way into town. i also saw one once in downtown Elizabeth. I'm a member of Knights of Columbus in Eliz. and a 8 pointer was in our lot. the cops tried to get it but it got away and then finally came back and they shot it in our parking lot.
