I was working in Staten Island last year at a supermarket. I was writing up a service ticket in the parking lot. A Lincoln Town Car pulled in the the spot next to me. I hear a loud THUD up against my passenger door. I get out to see what happened, and the guy still had his door resting against my work van. I asked him if he thought that was rude. He looked at me, then the door, then pulled his door in and said in his best broken English "maya door no hitta you car!" His wife gets out and starts to curse me in Italian. I understand Italian very well. I said "are you kidding me?". The 5'2" 70ish year old then pulls a .38 from his waist band, points it at my gut and asks me "are a you a trubble makerz?" I stood there in complete amazement. People,.... young, old, black, white, or ancient Italian, it doesn't matter. Common courtesies and respect are disappearing more and more each day.
