Was at my local walmart today and come out and see my taillight on my truck all smashed. It seems some a$$hole hit my truck and decided to leave. Went to toyota and a new tailight is $179.00 I told the guy behind the part counter what happened and he discounted it $40 at least there are some decent people left in this world.

I was working in Staten Island last year at a supermarket. I was writing up a service ticket in the parking lot. A Lincoln Town Car pulled in the the spot next to me. I hear a loud THUD up against my passenger door. I get out to see what happened, and the guy still had his door resting against my work van. I asked him if he thought that was rude. He looked at me, then the door, then pulled his door in and said in his best broken English "maya door no hitta you car!" His wife gets out and starts to curse me in Italian. I understand Italian very well. I said "are you kidding me?". The 5'2" 70ish year old then pulls a .38 from his waist band, points it at my gut and asks me "are a you a trubble makerz?" I stood there in complete amazement. People,.... young, old, black, white, or ancient Italian, it doesn't matter. Common courtesies and respect are disappearing more and more each day.

three years ago went to a friends house to study for EMT refresher, and went to leave at night to find my windshield smashed. Sucks.

That bites and hopefully karma will get the scumbag that hit you and left. The clerk that gave you 40 off shows that there are always good men and women willing to help and not just stand by[up][up][up]

I always park in the middle of no where in order to avoid that. Usually it takes less time to walk than it does to try and find a spot up close. [up]

I had my car 1 week and someone dented it at work...2 weeks later, someone scraped the front fender at Shoprite. Nothing surprises me anymore.

i pulled into shoprite the other night, just as i came to a stop to let people cross, a shopping cart came down the hill doing at least 10 MPH and slammed right into my front fender... when it hit the carrige came right off the ground, so you know it was hauling ass... no one to blame, but i dont think any damage was done.. i pretty much scratched my whole truck up one day when i got stuck in the field and ended up in a bryer patch... lol

That's sucks...[down]

I have been lucky twice in the last year, I go to the sink to put a dish in it and look out the window to see a guy putting a note on my car, WTF so I run outside and grab the note. Can you believe he gave me REAL name and phone number...[ko] 1,300 bucks of damage..

Last May I'm sitting in my living room and I hear a crash.. I look out the window and didn't see anything...

i look towards my car and see some folks looking at my car so i got out and see that my car has been hit and the driver took off...

I mailman walks up to me and handed me a piece of paper with the make, model and License plate number...[up]1,100 in damage..

Rich, you had good luck, twice? Nice to hear some decent people around. Last year, my car was hit while parked. Guy left a note with a phony number. Left a huge dimple in the corner of the rear bumper, $1k damage. I also had some good luck, because my mechanic pushed the dent out without me even asking him and charged me $0. Another good person. He just did it while car was there to have the radiator system flushed. :)

bowhunter444, sorry your truck taillight got smashed, but very nice of the dealer's parts guy to give you a discount!! [up]

I was parked in the middle of nowhere
So let me ask do you have your truck loaded up with "Hunting stickers"? seems to me ARA's and some libs feel they have an obligation to vandalise the property of those they disagree with politicaly and philosophicly. The BIG reason I do not have ANY stickers on my comuter (Subaru Forester with Conserve wildlife plates)in fact a friend (Who works for the Div.) was over last weekend and laughed" That thing looks like it's a liberal democrats car!" I said yeah and thats by design.
