I believe a rifled barrel shooting a Sabot slug will give you the best performance, followed by smoothbore w/rifled choke or smoothbore w/rifled slug being okay but not quite as good. (Generally speaking).
at 100 yds max you may not see enough of a difference to really matter. i have scoped smooth bore shotguns that i shoot rifled slugs out of almost as well as the sabot slugs from my rifled h&r. the further the shot the more yo will begin to notice that sabot slugs from a rifled barrel are GENERALLY more accurate. dont forget the bullet is only as accurate as the shooter.
