As long as you dont have anything capable of killing deer in your possession, its ok. be prepared to get pulled over if the law sees you spotlighting

spotlight as much as you want I do just dont have anything in the vehicle capable of killing a deer be smart and dont shine light on or near peoples homes bring a law book with you in case you get stopped by a cop you can point out the law its in the digest

Also don't spot light field's with domestic animals in them.

Spotlighting
Spotlighting deer during hours of darkness from
a vehicle is illegal while in possession of a weapon capable of killing deer, whether the weapon is cased, uncased or in a locked compartment. This does not apply to the regular use of headlights when traveling in a normal manner on public or S private roads.
