i went to hackelbarney state park today to do some scouting. im happy to see that there is corn in the fields again this year. the stand i used last year looks just as good this year, so im gonna sit there again this yea. lots of sign. im sure alot of them were bedded in the corn. going back soon to do some pruning. then i will ba already for the season
has anyone else on here ever hunting hacklebarney???

I set-up my ladderstand today and saw a nice lick being started in the ground where my salt block was, I guess I need a new one now ( 15yards from tree stand ), Also saw where the deer are pawing the spot where I baite corn at. That is a great sign to see... means they know that spot brings food at times. lots of good trail uses too all over the place.

i just picked up a small piece of private property in Lebanon today. my buddy just bought a house off of musk. river road. i walked around it and it looks nice. it's only a few acres but it's all hardwoods with fields around it. it should be nice spot.

Never hunted hacklebarney, but fished it as a teenager. Scouted yeserday and kicked up a deer 75 yds from a new stand. Lots of sign in the fields, Spotted a spike in velvet. Can't wait to climb a tree.

I remember talking to someone on this board about Hacklebarney...They hunt it every year but I can't remember who it was...
