Has anyone ever tried Weldon brook WMA For deer hunting? I know that there is a Gun clue there on some of the land (Blue Huron club). A lot of the land they have posted is really owned by the state. Anyway has anyone one ever try it.

I scouted it extensively this summer, and I ran into some fish & game guys doing work there that said that the former gun club shot it up quite a bit.
I saw little sign. the property buts up against the morris county park NO Hunting land and that part is heavily patroled.
they also said that once the pressure is on the deer all run towards that end and so be it[sad].

About 4-5 years ago some guy from that gun club took a close to 200lb 10 pointer with a drop tine in that area. We were trying to weigh it at Buck&B [no swearing please] but the scale was too crappy. We were getting 195#, but couldn't be sure part of the deer wasn't touching the ground. He took it to Simon Peter to weigh. I don't know the final result.
