Hey Everyone, name is Adam. Grew up in WI on a Dairy/Game farm so I've hunted all my life. Moved to NJ about 12 years ago, but always went back to WI to hunt. Getting harder to get back to the family farm now with a growing family of my own, so want to start hunting in NJ, specifically archery whitetail. Any information anyone can provide on public hunting, archery clubs, or even other forums would be much appreciated. Right now I'm in Hoboken, but looking to relocate to the Morristown/Mendham area and be closer to the woods. Also considering a new bow, so any recommendations on shops would also be a huge help. Just joined the community. Shot bow at Waxobee in South Brunswick with my father as a teen. That was about 30 year ago. Just started hunting white tails a few years ago. Was glad to find this forum as it seems difficult to run across NJ hunting info and hunters on the web other than the official sites like NJ Division of Fish & Wildlife. Looking to learn as much as I can from other hunters here as while I enjoy the experience of being out there in the woods, I haven't had a lot of success bagging much.

New hunter in south NJ here. Always interested and was looking for something to do with my little guy. Any advice is welcome...we’re not from a hunting family which now seems to be good and bad. We don’t know much, but we do get to buy all new guns!!! So that’s a plus. Been pheasant hunting in South NJ WMA this year with a few buddies and lots of practice at the range.
We want to get into deer, turkey and ducks/geese also and could use advice on gear. We’re good on guns, for now. Also, anyone willing to have me along would be great. We had a family obligation and missed my in person part of the test but passed the written part and have my apprentice license. Thanks in advance!

I'm Rudy, and live at Cedar Grove, NJ. New to hunting, just got my Browning max, FID and NJ hunting license. Hello folks, I'm as new as they come just got my first compound bow and am testing for my license soon. Currently in Burlington county but grew up it Atco. Have spent a lot of my younger years running around out in the pines. I am lookin forward to getting back out there, spending time in the woods again and hopefully start bringing some meat home. Hi there, just joined the site. Moved to NJ from KS 2 years ago (I know, why? wife from here, moved to be closer to family). Bow hunting and waterfowl w/ black lab are two fav past times along w/ pheasant hunting. Lifelong deer, upland and waterfowl hunter. Have hunted public land so far, mainly Shark River for deer, pleasantly surprised with the amount of public land avail in NJ. Now looking to get into a lease or club to have a more constant hunting experience as well as a familiar place to get my teenage daughter into deer & waterfowl hunting. Any guidance, tips, etc on clubs or leases would be greatly appreciated, specifically looking for Central NJ as I'm in Point Pleasant but happy to travel for right spots. My name is Tom I am retired from Princeton University after 43 years of service. I enjoy bird hunting and I am looking for a new club. The fellow who owns the land I hunted on for 20 some years is selling and moving. Just looking for a club to meet new people who enjoy hunting and fishing. Married 43 years two grown daughters.
